Mini Classic Rally raises KES 750,000 for charity

We’re delighted to announce that the Mini Classic Rally has raised KES 750,000/- (approx $7,400) for the chosen charity of AMREF Health Africa’s ‘Stop the Cut’ campaign against Female Genital Mutilation.

“We received entry fees of KES 441,000/- from 21 competitors, some of whom were not able to participate in this event,” noted East African Safari Rally Ltd director, Raju Kishinani.

“East African Safari Rally Ltd has contributed an amount of KES 309,000/-  in addition to the entry fee that is being presented to AMREF Health Africa for their ‘Stop the Cut’ campaign against Female Genital Mutilation. This was a charity that the late Mrs Atu Vohra wanted us to donate to as it was very close to her heart.

“As many will know, running a rally isn’t the easiest thing to do, but even the biggest challenges can be overcome if one has the right team. This year, we built a team that was able to act quickly, make the right decisions and work efficiently. It is not possible to name every person individually, but we would like to thank each and every one of our officials and supporters for helping us to run an incredible event paying tribute to J. S. Vohra and supporting our charitable aims.”

Thanks to all of our entrants and competitors. We look forward to seeing everyone once again for the 2019 East African Safari Classic Rally!
