ITINERARY

23RD NOVEMBER 2007
Arrive at Mombasa Airport where you are met and transferred to Travellers Beach Hotel which is the nearest hotel to the main rally headquarter hotel. At 16.00 hrs visit scrutineering and stay on for the 18.30 hrs cocktail party where you will have a chance to meet the competitors.
20.00hrs return to hotel for dinner and overnight at Travellers Beach Hotel

24th November
After breakfast 10.00hrs visit scrutineering for 2 hours and then return to hotel (lunch not included)
15.00hrs proceed to Ceremonial start of Rally for ceremony and speeches followed by 16.00hrs start.
Return to Travellers Beach Hotel for dinner and overnight.

25th November
An early breakfast will be supplied by the hotel 05.00 depart for first section of the rally to be in position before the first car arrives. Drive to Nairobi with picnic lunch en-route to watch the D.T. Dobie sponsored spectator stage, before driving to Safari Park Hotel where the rally will stop for the night. Watch the rally arrive and the service park before proceeding to Windsor Golf & Country Club which is the nearest hotel to the rally for dinner and overnight.

26th November
After an early breakfast depart with a picnic lunch to watch the rally then go to finish of the day control to see the rally cars arrive. The service park action can be watched before going to Lake Naivasha Country Club which is the closest hotel to the rally hotel for dinner and overnight.

27th November
If you want a break you take a boat trip on the lake or go bird watching or visit Hells Gate National Park or play golf at Green Park (all at extra charge). If you want to relax the hotel has nice gardens and a swimming pool. Lunch is included.
For the serious fans you can go out with a picnic and watch the rally hopefully twice before returning to watch them arrive at the finish control. Then return to Lake Naivasha Country Club for dinner and overnight.

28th November
After breakfast drive up the side of the Great Rift Valley with its wonderful views before eating lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant, Africa's Greatest Eating Experience. Drive to Amboseli and depending on the rally route see them in a competitive section before driving to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

29th November
Today is a rest day for the rally so you can take the opportunity to do game drives, to see the wildlife of Amboseli as well as visit the service park. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge which also has a pool for relaxing.

30th November
Early departure to watch the first competitive of the day then either return for breakfast or take a picnic breakfast with you depending on the rally route. Then watch the last competitive of the day before going to Voi Wildlife Lodge for dinner and overnight.

1st December
This is where the group may split up for two days.
For people wanting to do some game viewing you can spend the next two days enjoying the wonders of Tsavo staying at the lovely Satao Camp with all meals, park fee, accommodation and game drives included for the 1st and 2nd December.

For the serious rally fans you get up very early to ensure you are in position for the first competitive of the day with picnic breakfast.

Proceed to the Tanzania border to view the last competitive of the day and then proceed to watch the cars at the overnight service park before driving to Arusha Hotel for dinner and overnight.

2nd December
Get up early to watch the first competitive of the day then as the drivers are doing a loop it is possible that we can see them twice more in the day before returning to Arusha Hotel for dinner and overnight.

3rd December
A very early start with picnic lunch en route to get you to the finish of the rally which is at 15.00hrs at Whitesands Hotel Mombasa.

At 20.00hrs go to the prize giving party and dinner. At midnight return to Travellers Beach Hotel for overnight.

4th December
A morning of relaxing before departing to Mombasa airport to catch your flight to Nairobi to connect with your international flight.

Price per person sharing a room US$2,000, Single room surcharge US$650. Please note that:
1. The exact route of the rally is not known until a few days, before the event so actual places to watch can not be decided until then.
2. The quoted prices do not include your flights from your home to Mombasa. Nor the return from Mombasa.
3. Three meals a day will be provided some of these meals will be picnic boxes.
4. Drinks are entirely the responsibility of the client. Vehicles do have a cold box to store your drinks.
5. Visas are the clients responsibility and can be obtained on arrival at Nairobi Airport for most nationalities. It is your responsibility to check before arriving.
6. Health documents and anti-malarial treatment should be advised to you by your doctor.
7. Everyone must have medical insurance to cover their entire stay.
8. Membership of the Flying Doctor will be paid by Southern Cross Safaris for all participants on this tour. This entitles you to free air Medivac in case of extreme medical problems only.
9. In the event of force majeur the proposed safari may be rerouted and accommodation of a similar price substituted.
10. Anyone wanting to take the option of game viewing in Tsavo on 1st and 2nd December must advise us when booking.
11. This safari is operated by Southern Cross Safaris Ltd., and all correspondence must go only to them.
12. Transport is in mini buses with maximum of 7 clients per vehicle.
