Entry forms for this August’s Mini Classic Rally Powered By Safaricom 4G+ are now available. The event regulations have also been published and are available on the Mini Classic Rally online notice board.
Starting in Nairobi on August 17th and running to the finish at Nakuru on August 19th, all entry fees from this three-day rally will go to the Vohra family, to donate to a charity of their choice in honour of our former chairman, who passed away at the end of last year.
“This event is a tribute to my late friend and partner, JS Vohra,” says Raju Kishinani, Event Director of the Mini Classic Rally Powered by Safaricom 4G+. “All of the proceeds from the entry fees go to charity. We have opted for two Mini Classic Rallies this year: one in August and one in December. We will continue to do this in the years between editions of our world-famous East African Safari Classic Rally.”
The first Mini Classic of 2018 features some new faces on the management team. Jim Heather-Hayes comes in as our Technical Delegate and Raju Chaggar joins as Clerk of Course, with Alfir Khan as Deputy. John Kamau heads the stewards, with Chris Eden and Tariq Khan in support.
We also welcome two new Competitor Relations Officers to the organising team: Falgun Bhojak and Kashif Sheikh. The appointments form part of a series of changes made following consultation with competitors from last year’s Safari.
Supported by our great friends at Safaricom, the Mini Classic Rally will be a fun and upbeat event in memory of a great friend and passionate rally fan. Entries cost just KES 21,000 (approx £150 at today’s rates). Contact us with any questions.
