The East African Safari Classic Rally was well represented at the Autosport International Show at the NEC Birmingham from 11th - 14th January 2007.

Historic Motorsport Limited had displayed their brand new Ford Escort Mark 1 (photo below) built for Bjorn and Mathais Waldergard. The car is set to shipped to Kenya by the end of January and the David Sutton team will conduct a test programme in Kenya from 5th - 12th March 2007.

Mark Solloway from Historic Rally Sport Limited had also displayed the Ford Escort Mark 1 used by Gerard Marcy and Alain Lopes from Belgium in the 2005 event complete with all the stickers and decals still intact. Marcy was leading the event at one stage and then sucumbed to an electric problem.
